We were commissioned to provide a full range of surveying services, including topographical, setting out, and as-built surveys, for a prestigious development of bespoke homes exclusively designed for residents aged 55 and over. The final project features 4 luxury flats and 11 individual houses, all situated within a short walking distance of Salisburyʼs charming and historic city centre, renowned for its rich heritage, shopping, and local amenities.

Delivery & Method

Topographical Survey
The original topographical survey provided a comprehensive and detailed mapping of the existing site conditions, including precise measurements of buildings, property boundaries, and hardstanding areas such as driveways, pathways, and other paved surfaces. This data was crucial for the design and layout of the new residential development, enabling architects and planners to optimise the use of available land while ensuring compliance with planning regulations and local zoning requirements. The accuracy and thoroughness of this survey played a key role in facilitating a smooth planning and approval process, while also helping to avoid potential issues during construction.

Setting Out Services
As part of the projectʼs construction phase, we were entrusted with providing essential setting out services. This involved accurately marking the locations of all building plots, roads, and hard landscaping features, including paths, patios, and communal areas. By ensuring that each element of the development was precisely positioned in accordance with the approved designs, our setting out services helped maintain the integrity of the developmentʼs layout, ensuring that construction stayed on track and met design specifications. As-Built Survey
Upon the completion of the construction, we were contracted to conduct a full As-Built Survey of the entire development. The As-Built Survey was instrumental in confirming that the final development met all design requirements and planning conditions, providing an accurate record of the completed project for future reference, legal documentation, and handover to stakeholders.
