A point cloud provides the building blocks of all 3D scanned data. It’s composed of millions of data points, each with a 3D value in space. Our scanners record all this data with calibrated HD cameras to enable colour pixels, which produce lifelike images. We can provide your survey data in various formats. Most clients request 2d AutoCAD files, which are generally used by Architects and Engineering to complete their design.
But a few consultants are now just requesting a point cloud file, offering a detailed 3D snapshot of the site. This can be used for modelling, design, or integration into your existing systems.

However, the total time depends on the scale of the project and the level of detail required for outputs such as point clouds or 3D models. As a rough guide, a 4 bed detached house would take 1-2hrs and a large office block could take 2 days.
